Bryan Harnett, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM

Bryan Harnett

Dr. Bryan Harnett earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University in 1995. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.

   After graduation, Dr. Harnett completed a one-year medical and surgical internship at The Bobst Hospital of the Animal Medical Center, NYC in 1998. Following the internship, he continued at The Bobst Hospital of the Animal Medical Center, NYC completing a comprehensive internal medicine residency in 2000.

   Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Harnett is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He is a member of the Vermont Veterinary Medical Association, the Greater Burlington Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

From 2000 to 2007, Dr. Harnett was a staff internist at Mission MedVet (MMV) in his hometown of Kansas City. MMV is a large multi-specialty emergency critical care veterinary facility. Dr. Harnett joined the Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists (BEVS) in the fall of 2007 and in the spring of 2009 formed Vermont Veterinary Internal Medicine.

Brenna Mousaw, LVT, CVT

Brenna Mousaw

Brenna Mousaw is one of VVIM's head technicians. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1999, from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science degree and from Harcum College with an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 2004. She completed a year internship at the University of Pennsylvania’s Large and Small animal hospitals. Brenna worked at the New Bolton Center with large animals before moving to Vermont. She has interests in oncology and internal medicine. While not working, Brenna enjoys kayaking, backpacking, and hiking with her 3 dogs – Sadie, Sabbath, and Roscoe.

Michelle Senna, LVT, CVT

Michelle Senna

Michelle Senna is one of VVIM’s head technicians. She graduated valedictorian in 1993 from Mt. Ida College with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology. She then completed a yearlong internship at the Animal Medical Center in NYC where she became licensed. After living and working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Manhattan for 5 years, she moved back to her home state of Vermont where she is a Certified Veterinary Technician. Michelle now shares her home with her 2 cats, Kiko and Olivia and her chocolate Lab, Dallas, the Wonder Dog. When Michelle is not working she enjoys hiking, yoga and kayaking.

Katherine Edwards, CVT

Katherine Edwards

Katherine Edwards is one of our veterinary technicians at VVIM. - Katherine graduated from Vermont Technical College's Veterinary Technician Program in 2009. She completed an internship with BEVS in the summer of 2008 and during that time expressed interest in internal medicine and emergency/critical care. When Katherine is not working she enjoys live music, traveling, and photography.


Katie Henderson

Katie Henderson

Born and raised in Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom, Katie graduated from Johnson State College in 2005 with a BS in biology and a minor in chemistry. She went on to graduate from Vermont Technical College's veterinary technician program in 2008 and joined the Burlington Emergency and Veterinary Specialists (BEVS) in the fall.

She now works as a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) for both VVIM and BEVS. She has interests in home improvement and remodeling, running and hiking with her dog Murphy, reading, and rooting for her favorite hockey team (go Pens!). She lives with her dog and two cats, Sidney and Tait.
